ST. LOUIS – A church alleges it has sustained several hundred thousand dollars' worth of damage due to faulty repairs on its roof after three storms.

Pilgrim Congregational Church filed a complaint on June 1 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Lexington Insurance Co. and Network of Applied Concepts Inc. alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2012, 2015 and 2017, its worship facility suffered damage due to storms and its slate roof was improperly repaired after the 2012 event. As a result of defendants' breaches, the plaintiff alleges it has been damaged in an amount of $400,000.

The plaintiff holds Lexington Insurance Co. and Network of Applied Concepts Inc. responsible because defendant Network failed to perform adequate repairs on the worship facility's roof and defendant Lexington failed to authorize a full and complete replacement of the roof.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in an amount that is fair and reasonable, plus costs, interest and all further relief that the court may deem fit and proper. It is represented by Louis J. Basso of Louis J. Basso PC in Chesterfield.
