Homeowner alleges Scola Contracting Co. failed to complete work

Contract 05

ST. LOUIS – A residential property owner alleges a St. Louis contractor failed to complete a project.

Anthony Lopinot filed a complaint on June 1 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Scola Contracting Co. and Jason Scola alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 11, 2014, contracted the defendants to perform improvements on his home for $25,000. He alleges the defendants did not complete the work.

The plaintiff holds Scola Contracting Co. and Scola responsible because the defendants allegedly falsely and fraudulently represented they would complete the improvements for the agreed-upon price.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs of this action and all further relief as the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Alan S. Mandel of Mandel & Mandel LLP in St. Louis.
