ST. LOUIS – A man alleges he was injured when installing a lighting system at a St. Louis business because of a defective forklift.

David Day filed a complaint on June 7 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Mid-West Plating Co., Mike Bellows Sr. and John Doe alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 12, 2017, he was at the Midwest Plating premises to install a lighting system when the forklift he was instructed to use by the defendants lurched, causing him to lose balance and fell. He alleges he sustained serious and painful injuries to his head, skull, neck, back, body and limbs.

The plaintiff holds Mid-West Plating Co., Bellows Sr. and John Doe responsible because the defendants allegedly acted with a reckless disregard for his safety.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in an amount greater than $25,000, punitive damages, costs and any further relief as the court deems just and equitable. He is represented by David J. Gregory of The Injury Counsel in St. Louis.
