ST. LOUIS – A former accounts manager for several St. Louis companies alleges she faced discriminatory treatment because of her sex.

Jamie Alvers filed a complaint on June 12 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Flatrock Grille LLC, St. Louis Fitness Factory LLC, et al. alleging that they violated the Missouri Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was hired by the defendants in 2006 and was an executive assistant/accounts manager before her constructive discharge. She alleges during her employment, she was subjected to a hostile and offensive work environment because of her gender and sex and this led to her constructive discharge in June 2017.

The plaintiff holds Flatrock Grille LLC, St. Louis Fitness Factory LLC, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly discriminated against her because of her sex/gender and as a pregnant/nursing mother.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual, compensatory and punitive damages; interest; attorney's fees; costs and expenses and all further relief as the court deems proper and just. She is represented by Scott D. Kehlenbrink and Rusty K. Reinoehl of Reinoehl Kehlenbrink LLC in St. Louis.
