ST. LOUIS – A motorist is alleged to have disobeyed a red traffic signal and cause an accident at a St. Louis intersection.

Antoine D. Morris Jr. filed a complaint on July 13 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Belinda Hillard alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 10, 2017, he was traveling eastbound on West Florissant Avenue at its intersection with Goodfellow Boulevard in St. Louis when defendant entered the intersection and struck plaintiff's vehicle. He alleges he sustained serious and permanent injuries to his cervical spine, knee and lumbar spine as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Hillard responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently failed to obey a red light traffic signal and failed to maintain careful lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court and all further relief as the court deems just and equitable. He is represented by Brian Stokes of The Stokes Law Office in St. Louis.
