ST. LOUIS – A pedestrian alleges the condition of a portion of sidewalk in St. Louis caused her to fall and injure her face and head.

Razija Golubovic filed a complaint on Aug. 8 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against city of St. Louis and the city of St. Louis Department of Public Utilities, Water Division alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 22, 2016, she was walking on the sidewalk located around 3639 Robert Ave. in St. Louis when she tripped and fell on a damaged piece of concrete sidewalk with a protruding circular metal water pipe cover. She alleges she sustained injuries to her face and head.

The plaintiff holds the city of St. Louis and the city of St. Louis Department of Public Utilities, Water Division responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently allowed the sidewalk to fall into disrepair and failed to warn of the condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of no less than $25,000, plus costs and all further relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Daniel J. Marsh Jr. of Mandel & Mandel LLP in St. Louis.
