ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges his employers discriminated against him because of a perceived disability.

Demario Everson filed a complaint on Aug. 14 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Barbara Boyd and Greyhound Lines Inc. alleging that they violated the Missouri Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendants believe he has a sleep disorder and is required to use a CPAP machine. He disputes this and states his doctor determined he does not need a CPAP machine, but the defendants alleged improperly intervened in his medical treatment.

The suit states the defendant suspended him for almost a year in March 2017 because of his perceived disability.

The plaintiff holds Boyd and Greyhound Lines Inc. responsible because the defendants behavior was allegedly extreme and outrageous.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus punitive damages, interest, costs and all further relief deemed just.

St. Louis Circuit Court case number 1822-CC10929
