ST. LOUIS – A consumer who alleges he became addicted to a colorless gas used as whipping propellant for food-grade aerosols is seeking damages from businesses who sell the gas.

Jacob Snyder filed a complaint on July 31 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Sunshine Daydream Inc., Area 51 Gifts & Novelties, et al. alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendants provided him with "thousands of nitrous oxide chargers over a six-year period" and as a result, he developed a severe addiction and dependence on nitrous oxide and was injured.
