ST. LOUIS – A passenger allegedly injured in a collision with a tractor-trailer is seeking damages from a transportation company and its driver.

Marvin Washington filed a complaint on Aug. 23 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Donald Stone and Starport Transportation Inc. alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 13, 2016, he was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Shawntice Midgett traveling on Natural Bridge Road in St. Louis when the tractor-trailer driven by defendant Stone, owned by defendant Starport, crashed into Midgett's vehicle. He alleges he sustained injuries that required extensive medical care and treatment.

The plaintiff holds Stone and Starport Transportation Inc. responsible because defendant Stone allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout and failed to stop, swerve or reduce speed to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of no less than $25,000, plus interest, costs and any further relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Andrew T. Drazen of Page Law LLC in St. Louis.
