ST. LOUIS – The father of a man who sustained fatal injuries in a collision with a tractor-trailer in St. Louis is seeking damages from the trucking company and its driver.

Versay Kennel filed a complaint on Aug. 20 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Carey Hairston and Roadrunner Transportation Services Inc. alleging wrongful death.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 17, 2017, his son, Terrion Prince, was traveling southbound on Hall Street in St. Louis when the tractor-trailer truck driven by defendant Hairston and owned by defendant Roadrunner violently collided with his vehicle. The suit states Prince sustained serious injuries and subsequently died while undergoing treatment at the St. Louis University Hospital.

The plaintiff holds Carey Hairston and Roadrunner Transportation Services Inc. responsible because Hairston allegedly pulled out into the roadway without keeping a proper lookout and without yielding to the right of way.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs and all further relief as the court may deem necessary and just. He is represented by Jermaine Wooten of The Legal Solution Group in St. Louis.
