ST. LOUIS – A man alleges he was shot and injured in a parking lot shared by a nail and beauty store and laundromat in St. Louis.

Damonte Cooper filed a complaint on Aug. 27 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Nu Fashion LLC, also known as Nu Fashion Beauty Products; Wash N Wear; and Marvin Holdings LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 18, he was shot and injured by an unknown individual in the defendants' North Grand Boulevard parking lot. He alleges he has suffered physical and mental pain and suffering, lost wages, scarring and medical expenses totaling thousands of dollars as a result.

The plaintiff holds Nu Fashion LLC, Wash N Wear and Marvin Holdings LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide competent and reasonably trained security for the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in an amount greater than $25,000, plus costs and all further relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Matthew P. O'Grady and Derek P. Sieck of Onder Law LLC in St. Louis.
