Motorist alleges driver that rear-ended his vehicle in St. Louis was texting

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis woman is alleged to have been texting at the time of a collision in St. Louis.

John Lee filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Jessica Hernandez alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 13, 2017, he was traveling westbound on Clayton Road when defendant caused her vehicle to collide with plaintiff's vehicle. The suit states the defendant admitted she was texting at the time of the auto accident.

He alleges he sustained serious and painful injuries to his back, neck and right shoulder as a result of the collision. 

The plaintiff holds Hernandez responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout, failed keep an appropriate distance and failed to take proper evasive actions to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff seeks damages in a fair and reasonable amount, plus costs of this action. He is represented by Joseph K. Robbins of The Robbins Law Firm in St. Louis.
