ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges he was injured when an Illinois woman failed to obey a stop sign and collided with his vehicle.

Lorenzo Friarson filed a complaint on Sept. 4 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Kiarisce Gunter alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 12, 2017, he was traveling northbound on North Kingshighway Boulevard near its intersection with Terry Avenue in St. Louis when the defendant entered the intersection and collided with his vehicle. He alleges he sustained severe injuries resulting in pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss of enjoyment of life as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Gunter responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield to the right of way, failed to maintain a careful lookout, did not obey a stop sign and made an improper turn when it was unsafe to do so.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages of more than $25,000, plus interest, costs and all further relief deemed necessary and proper. He is represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone Sumner & Lauber in Clayton.
