ST. LOUIS — A patient is suing Michael D. Bavlsik, MD, et al., citing alleged negligence.

Terry Adams filed a complaint on Oct. 15, in the St. Louis Circuit Court, against Michael D. Bavlsik ,MD, et al., alleging that the healthcare providers failed to appropriately diagnose and/or evaluate him for transient ischemic attacks.

The plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 26, 2016, he was involved in a car accident and has been under the care of defendants since then.

As a result of defendants negligent actions and in-actions, his condition worsened and was caused to suffer an acute right lateral stroke. He is now permanently disabled.

The plaintiff holds Michael D. Bavlsik, MD, et al., responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly assess his condition, failed to appropriately determine the cause of his symptoms and failed to admit him to the hospital and/or refer him to an appropriate specialist.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in an amount greater than $75,000 and all other relief that is just and proper.

He is represented by Jacob M. Adair, Kirk J. Goza and Bradley D. Honnold of Goza & Honnold LLC in Leawood, Kansas.
