Man allegedly injured in I-55 crash files suit against Progressive Casualty

ST. LOUIS – A Jefferson County man is seeking damages from his insurance company over injuries alleged sustained in a collision on Interstate 55.

Meho Cilic filed a complaint on Oct. 16 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Progressive Casualty Insurance Co. seeking underinsured motorist coverage.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 17, 2017, he was injured in an auto collision when an underinsured motorist struck his vehicle from behind on I-55, causing the plaintiff's vehicle to strike the median. He alleges he sustained multiple fractures to his face and a broken nose as a result of the collision. 

At the time of the occurrence, he alleges he was covered by the insurance policy issued by defendant.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is just and proper. He is represented by Daniel J. Marsh of Mandel & Mandel LLP in St. Louis.
