5654 Delmar alleges tenant failed to pay for damages to apartments

ST. LOUIS – A landlord of a St. Louis property alleges a nonprofit owes it nearly $40,000 for damages to its apartments.

5654 Delmar LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 26 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Amanda Luck Murphy Hopewell Center alleging breach of lease.

According to the complaint, the defendant entered into leases with the plaintiff beginning in 2015 for apartment rentals. The suit states in July 2017, the defendant vacated the apartments and upon inspection, plaintiff discovered excessive damages to its properties. By virtue of the leasehold, the plaintiff alleges the defendant is indebted to it in the amount of $38,360 for the damages and the defendant has failed to pay.

The plaintiff seeks damages in the amount of $38,365, attorney's fees, costs and any further relief as the court may deem proper and just. It is represented by Patricia A. Wilcox in St. Louis.
