ST. LOUIS – A woman alleges she was injured when the parked vehicle she was in was struck by an Illinois man in St. Louis.

Alexuis Darough filed a complaint on Oct. 29 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Breckenridge Material Co. and Charles Wright alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 3, 2017, she was a passenger in a motor vehicle legally parked alongside Tucker Boulevard when defendant Wright negligently crashed the vehicle owned by defendant Breckenridge into the door of the vehicle the plaintiff was in. She alleges she sustained injuries to her neck, back and body as a whole as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Breckenridge Material Co. and Wright responsible because defendant Wright allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout, drove his vehicle at an excessive speed and failed to properly apply brakes.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in a fair and reasonable amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all further relief as the court deemed proper and just. She is represented by Justin D. Guerra of Holloran Schwartz & Gaertner LLP in St. Louis.
