Lawsuits

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis lawyer is alleged to have failed to appear in a breach of contract case.

Michael T. Giasomo filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Robert L. Officer alleging neglect.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff hired the defendant to file a lawsuit against Thomas Spalj and Drips LLC over breach of contract allegations. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to file an answer to the counterclaims, failed to serve discovery responses and failed to appear for a hearing in the case. The suit states the complaint was dismissed.

The plaintiff alleges that he has been damaged in excess of $100,000 due to his inability to pursue his claims against Spalj and Drips LLC because of the defendant's actions.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $25,000, costs and any further relief as the court deems proper. He is represented by Jeremy A. Gogel of The Gogel Law Firm in St. Louis.
