ST. LOUIS – A customer of a St. Louis grocery store alleges the store failed to warn of the slippery condition of a floor.

Sheree A. Simon filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Schnuck Markets Inc., doing business as Culinaria, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 6, 2013, the plaintiff was walking on defendant's store premises when she slipped and fell on a slippery and watery substance on the floor. She alleges she sustained injuries to her head, neck, back, arms and legs as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Schnuck Markets Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn of the floor's condition and failed to have it repaired.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of no less than $25,000, costs, interest and all further relief that the court may deem appropriate. She is represented by Stephen W. Thurmer of Stephen W. Thurmer LLC in St. Louis.
