ST. LOUIS – A man injured in a collision with an underinsured motorist alleges his insurer has failed to pay the full amount under his policy.

Arthur El-Amin filed a complaint on Nov. 13 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. alleging vexatious refusal and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 23, 2017, he suffered a covered loss due to the negligent act of an underinsured motorist. He alleges he sustained injuries to his head, neck and lower back as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay the plaintiff the full amounts due under his insurance policy.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant in an amount between $25,000 and $75,000, attorney's fees and costs. He is represented by Christopher Hoffmann of The Hoffmann Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
