ST. LOUIS – Four women formerly employed by the operator of Jobs Corps Centers allege they were terminated because of their complaints of sexual harassment or sexism.

Marilyn Brown, Tambra Cross, Lashante' Wade and Marva Rodgers filed a complaint on Nov. 8 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Adams and Associates Inc. and Timothy Chambers alleging gender discrimination and retaliatory discrimination.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs are former employees of Adams and Associates. Brown and Cross allege they were terminated in 2017 as a result of refusing the sexual advances of Chambers and reporting the sexual harassment. Wade alleges she was terminated after she reported the alleged sexual harassment of a subordinate by Chambers. Rodgers alleges she was terminated for her complaints of sexism.

The plaintiffs allege they have suffered and continue to suffer lost wages and other employment benefits as a result of the defendants' actions.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment in favor of each plaintiff for damages of more than $25,000, costs, attorney's fees and all other relief that is just and equitable. They are represented by Lynette M. Petruska and J.C. Pleban of Pleban & Petruska Law LLC in St. Louis.
