ST. LOUIS – A driver allegedly injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 in St. Louis is seeking damages from other motorists involved.

Sharon Thien filed a complaint on Nov. 29 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Kristy Martinez, Rebekah E. Schoeber, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 2, 2015, she was operating a motor vehicle traveling eastbound on Interstate Highway 70 near its intersection with Washington Avenue in St. Louis when defendant Martinez caused a multi-vehicle collision. The plaintiff alleges she was able to stop and avoid striking vehicles in front of her, but Schoeber's vehicle rear-ended hers.

The plaintiff holds Martinez, et al. responsible because Martinez allegedly failed to maintain a proper lookout and failed to exercise the highest degree of care to avoid colliding with other vehicles.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $25,000 from the defendants, plus interest, costs, and any further relief as the court deems just, meet and proper. She is represented by Sean Michael Rapp in St. Louis.
