Wrongful term 10

ST. LOUIS – A woman alleges her age and gender were factors in her termination from her position at a St. Louis hospital.

Undine Lee filed a complaint on Nov. 19 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against SSM Health - St. Louis University Hospital and Dennis Meuren alleging age and gender discrimination and retaliation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was hired by the defendant as an instrument processing technician in 2013 and was the oldest person employed in that position. She alleges she was treated differently than younger, male instrument processing technicians and filed complaints regarding the treatment. The suit states she was terminated on July 20, 2017, at the age of 65.

The plaintiff holds SSM Health - St. Louis University Hospital and Meuren responsible because the defendants allegedly discriminated against her because of gender and age and terminated her employment and replaced her with a much younger male employee.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for all damages, reinstatement, attorneys' fees, costs and all other relief that is proper and just. She is represented by Jerome D. Dobson and Amanda D. Anthony of Dobson, Goldberg, Berns & Rich LLP in St. Louis.
