Car accident 26

ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges her back was injured in a rear-end collision in St. Louis five years ago.

Ashlee Coleman filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Angel Henderson alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 24, 2013, the plaintiff was heading north on Marcus Avenue approaching its intersection with Leduc Street in St. Louis when the defendant struck her vehicle from behind. The plaintiff alleges she sustained injuries to her back and incurred medical expenses of more than $5,000.

The plaintiff holds Henderson responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently operated her vehicle at an excessive rate of speed, failed to keep a careful lookout and failed to take evasive actions to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $25,000, costs and any further relief deemed just and proper. She is represented by Cecil L. Skaggs of Central West End Law Office in St. Louis.
