ST. LOUIS – A Missouri man alleges his insurer failed to honor its obligations under a policy regarding an auto accident.

Kurtis Beyer filed a complaint on Dec. 4 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Progressive Insurance Co., et al. alleging vexatious refusal.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 13, 2017, he suffered a covered loss as a result of the carelessness of an uninsured motorist in colliding with the rear of his vehicle while he was stopped at a red light on state Route 231 and Interstate 255. He alleges he sustained injuries to his head, neck and back and incurred medical expenses and lost wages.

The plaintiff holds Progressive Insurance Co., et al responsible because Progressive allegedly failed and refused to honor its obligations under the insurance policy.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs, interest and all further relief as the court deemed just and equitable. He is represented by Christopher Hoffmann of The Hoffman Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
