ST. LOUIS – A minor child and his and mother are seeking more than $25,000 from the owner of a dog and the owner of the home where the dog lived after the animal allegedly bit the minor without provocation.

Christian James, by his next friend Barbara Walters, and Barbara Walters filed a complaint on Dec. 19 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Corey Priestly and Suad Bajramovic alleging strict liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Dec. 19, 2013, James was near the premises of 4446 Neosho in St. Louis when his left leg was bitten by Priestly's dog without provocation.

The plaintiffs hold Priestly and Bajramovic responsible because Priestly allegedly failed to prevent his dog from attacking James and Bajramovic allegedly owed a duty to the plaintiff to prevent his tenant's dog from attacking.

The plaintiffs seek damages of more than $25,000, plus costs and all further relief as the court may deem just and equitable. They are represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab PC in St. Louis.
