ST. LOUIS – A man alleges he was injured while sitting in a parked car when a vehicle struck its door and is seeking damages from the driver and his employer.

Landers Page filed a complaint on Dec. 21 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Breckenridge Material Co. and Charles Wright alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 3. 2017, he was in a vehicle legally parked alongside Tucker Boulevard in St. Louis when Wright, who was acting as an agent for Breckenridge, crashed into the vehicle's door at a high rate of speed. The plaintiff alleges he sustained serious injuries to his head, neck, back and left leg as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Breckenridge Material Co. and Wright responsible because defendant Wright allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout and negligently traveled at an excessive speed and outside his lane of travel.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs and any further relief that the court may deem proper and just. He is represented by J. Ryan Kelly and Justin M. Stephens of Stephens Kelly Law in St. Louis.
