ST. LOUIS – An Illinois man is alleged to have caused injuries to a St. Louis resident in a collision in the city.

Kizzy Mitchell filed a complaint on Dec. 27 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Robert Dunn alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 2, 2015, the plaintiff was traveling on Hampton Avenue in St. Louis when the plaintiff's vehicle was struck by defendant's vehicle near the intersection with Oakland Avenue. The suit states the plaintiff was injured and incurred medical bills and other damages as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Dunn responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield to the right of way, failed to maintain a careful lookout and failed to properly apply brakes when necessary to stop his vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary damages, plus interest, costs and any further relief as the court may deem just and proper. The plaintiff is represented by Lorenzo A. Hester and Melissa Griffeth of The Hester Law Group LLC in St. Louis.
