ST. LOUIS – A postal worker is seeking damages from a Texas-based company after one of its employees struck him with a truck on Market Street in St. Louis.
Lloyd Newsom filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Bankcroft & Sons Transportation LLC alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 12, 2014, he was acting in the course and scope with his employment with U.S. Postal Service when he was struck by defendant's truck, which was operated by its employee, Steve Russell. The plaintiff alleges sustained injuries to his head, neck, back, shoulders, legs and right knee as a result of the collision.
The plaintiff holds Bankcroft & Sons Transportation LLC responsible because defendant's employee/driver allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout and failed to yield to the right of way.
The plaintiff seeks damages in an amount between $25,000 and $75,000, plus costs. He is represented by Alan S. Mandel of Mandel & Mandel LLP in St. Louis and Sally I. Heller of The Heller Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
