ST. LOUIS – An invitee alleges a fall at a St. Louis restaurant and lounge caused her to incur more than $50,000 in medical bills.

Patricia Frazier filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Marquee LLC and Rakia Real Estate Development LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 20, 2018, she was an invitee at defendants' restaurant and lounge on Locust Street in St. Louis when she fell on the steps at the front door. She alleges she sustained serious and permanent injuries to her lower extremities, fractures of both ankles and incurred medical expenses of almost $50,000 as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Marquee LLC and Rakia Real Estate Development LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate lighting and the steps did not have a hand railing.

The plaintiff seeks damages of no less than $25,000, with interest and costs. She is represented by James C. Brandenburg of Brandenburg Law Offices in Clayton.
