ST. LOUIS – A driver is seeking more than $25,000 in compensatory damages over a rear-end collision in St. Louis.

Charles Jensen filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Barbara Lachance alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 28, 2017, he was stopped at a red light in his vehicle at the intersection of Broadway with Itaska in St. Louis when defendant's vehicle collided with the rear of his vehicle. He alleges he sustained serious injuries to his neck, back, wrist and shoulder and incurred lost wages and medical expenses as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Lachance responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout, failed to obey traffic signs and failed to keep a safe distance.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages of more than $25,000, plus interest, costs and all further relief as the court deems necessary and proper. He is represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone & Lauber in Clayton.
