ST. LOUIS – A woman is seeking damages from a janitorial service provider after falling allegedly because of a recently mopped floor at a St. Louis school.

Donna Blackmon filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Hudson Cleaning Services Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 27, 2015, she was in the restroom at St. Louis Community College when she slipped on a wet recently mopped floor and fell. She alleges she sustained serious injuries to her right hand, right arm, right elbow, right torso and other parts of her body and incurred medical bills and other damages.

The plaintiff holds Hudson Cleaning Services Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect the premises and/or to discover the dangerous condition of the floor and failed to make it safe or barricade the area.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs and all further relief as the court deemed just and proper. She is represented by Michael J. Sudekum of Mandel & Mandel LLP in St. Louis.
