ST. LOUIS — Freedom Principle MO is taking action to protect the rights of Missourians when it comes to informed consent.
In a unanimous verdict, the Missouri Supreme Court has nullified and sent back for reconsideration the judgment made by the Cole County Circuit Court in September 2022, which pertained to the case of Shannon Robinson vs. the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, St. Louis County, Livingston County Health Center and other health departments and counties.
The previous decision in September 2022 curtailed the powers of local health organizations in issuing health orders, leading to an appeal by St. Louis County and Jackson County.
The verdict underscores the apparent reluctance of both the legislature and the governor to promptly address and safeguard medical freedom.
Byron Keelin, president of Freedom Principle MO, said the decision made by the Missouri Supreme Court gives counties the ability to appeal Judge Joseph Green's November 2021 decision.
"The Supreme Court decision giving the counties the ability to appeal Judge Green’s November 2021 decision means that these counties can appeal Green’s decision since then-Attorney General Eric Schmitt decided not to appeal the suit, but it is unclear if this nullifies Judge Green’s decision that the mandates are unconstitutional," Keelin said in an interview with The St. Louis Record. "Regardless of the outcome, the Freedom Principle MO is taking action to protect Missourian’s right to informed consent and limit the ability of the government and school districts to implement these types of deadly mandates."
Keelin said overturning Green's decision could have major consequences.
Keelin said if the Supreme Court overturns Judge Green's decision, it could mean that "elected tyrant officials like St. Louis County Executive Sam Page, or the County Executive in Jackson County or St. Louis City can impose mandates that violate Missourians’ medical freedom."
"It means, these elected officials, particularly in the case of St. Louis County, had an unlicensed and unqualified medical doctor making political decisions based on junk science," Keelin said. "St. Louis County businesses, residents and school children suffered serious financial and health setbacks related to mask and vaccine mandates."
Keelin said thousands of businesses closed or moved out of the county because of the measures that were in place.
"We saw children suffering serious mental and physical setbacks because they were forced to sit in a classroom for more than 8 hours wearing dirty masks and being forced to get an untested and unsafe jab to attend school," Keelin said.
Freedom Principle MO is currently collecting signatures to pass a Constitutional amendment to protect citizens' right to informed consent on the November 2024 ballot.
"If passed by voters in November 2024, never again will elected officials or administrative bureaucrats in the state, cities and counties, at schools or universities, be allowed to force individuals to subject themselves to medical technologies, procedures or treatments, including but not limited to vaccines, injections or face coverings without their permission," Keelin said.
Keelin said Freedom Principle MO's amendment will also require labeling informing Missourians of any products, including medication or medical treatments that contain mRNA and/or gene-altering therapies.
"The Freedom Principle MO has been working with the legislators to ban vaccine and mask mandates, but the medical industrial cartel, including the Missouri Chamber of Commerce, the Missouri Hospital Association, the NEA and the Missouri School Board Association keep thwarting our efforts," Keelin said. "We are taking our message directly to the voters. Do they want to let the government decide their health choices or do they prefer they have the right to make their health choices?"
Keelin said there are elected officials and special interest groups that support Big Pharma and will try to label Freedom Principle MO's amendment as being anti-vaccine.
"We are not anti-vaccine, but we are encouraging individuals to educate themselves about what is being put into vaccines, medicines and even food and decide what is right for themselves and their families," Keelin said. "They know what’s better for them than any elected officials or administrative bureaucrat."
