A Missouri woman says a defective medical port caused her injuries.
Rosa Timmons filed her complaint in federal court against AngioDynamics Inc. and Navilyst Medical Inc.
According to the complaint, Timmons was injured because of a SmartPort, an implantable vascular access device.
She claims failures in the design, development, testing, assembling, manufacturing, packaging, promoting, marketing, distribution, supplying and selling of the SmartPort led to her injuries.
She is seeking damages for negligence, design defect, failure to warn, breach of implied warranty and express warranty among others.
