Mascoutah resident accuses Great Circle of wrongful death

ST. LOUIS — A Mascoutah father is suing Great Circle, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Kyle Harvey, natural and biological father of Aubrey K. Harvey, deceased, filed a complaint on March 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri against Great Circle, alleging that the counselling provider failed to develop and implement adequate safeguards for decedent's safety.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 7, 2016, Aubrey Harvey was left alone in the care of William Allen Harris at her biological mother's residence. Harris allegedly strangled her to death while under the influence of heroin and/or a controlled substance. The plaintiff holds Great Circle responsible because the defendant allegedly did not perform any evaluation, screening or additional investigation of Harris before recommending the reunification of Aubrey Harvey and her biological mother.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $75,000, survival, economic and non-economic damages, interest, cost of suit and such other or further relief as this court deems just and proper. He is represented by Shaun Falvey of The Bradley Law Firm in St. Louis.
