ST. LOUIS — A consumer is suing a debt collector, citing alleged abusive debt collection practices.

Taylor Limb-Reynolds filed a complaint Aug. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri Eastern Division against Key 2 Recovery Inc. and Does 1-10, alleging they violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she suffered actual damages, anger, anxiety, emotional distress, fear, frustration and embarrassment as a result of the defendant's actions. The plaintiff holds Key 2 Recovery and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendant allegedly disclosed to her sister, brother and mother that it was calling to collect a debt from her and allegedly continued to call even after she requested to cease all communication on her account.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual, punitive and statutory damages, litigation costs, attorney’s fees and other relief as may be just. She is represented by Sergei Lemberg of Lemberg Law LLC in Wilton, Connecticut.
