ST. LOUIS — A Kirkwood resident with a disability is suing his former employers, citing alleged age and disability discrimination.

Gary Huge filed a complaint on Aug. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri Eastern Division against ASI Food Safety Consultants and CMT Williams LLC, alleging they violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 2, 2016, he was terminated from his employment without cause. He claims he has suffered damages, including lost wages, compensation and benefits, as well as emotional pain, suffering, humiliation, mental anguish and loss of enjoyment of life.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they unlawfully discriminated against him because of his disability and terminated his employment and replaced him with a younger individual.

The plaintiff seeks judgment in her favor in an amount to be proven at trial, punitive damages, attorney’s fees and costs and further relief as the court deems proper. He is represented by Jay L. Kanzler Jr. of Witzel, Kanzler & Dimmit LLC in St. Louis.
