St. Louis restaurant/market allegedly owes $32,000 in rent

Late 04

ST. LOUIS — A landlord is suing TTT Foods LLC and Amer Hawatmeh, restaurant and market operators, citing alleged breach of a lease agreement.

Copia Acquisition LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 30 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to perform their obligations under the contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 25 the parties entered into a third amendment to a  lease agreement wherein the defendants would pay a monthly rent of $18,000 for the lease of the plaintiff's property. As of Oct. 30, the defendants' past due rent of $32,595.38 allegedly remains unpaid. The plaintiff holds TTT Foods and Hawatmeh responsible because despite repeated demands for payment, the defendants allegedly failed and refused to pay.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in the amount of $32,595.38, plus interest, costs and expenses, and such other and further relief. Copia Acquisition is represented by Sarah E. Mullen and Justin M. Ladendorf of Lewis Rice LLC in St. Louis.
