Driver allegedly made improper left turn that resulted in crash

Car accident 42

ST. LOUIS — A driver and her passenger are suing a motorist for allegedly making an improper left turn, causing a collision.

Catrina Daniels and Skylar Merseal, by and through her next friend Catrina Daniels, filed a complaint on Nov. 10 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Sherry Lynn Miskle alleging that the defendant failed her duty to use the highest degree of care in operating her vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on June 18 Daniels was driving southbound on South Broadway with Morsel as her passenger when their vehicle was struck by Miskle's vehicle as she allegedly made a left turn from the center lane across the plaintiffs' lane of traffic, causing a collision.

As a result, the plaintiffs sustained physical injuries, endured pain and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiffs hold Miskle responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield to traffic that had the right of way, failed to keep a careful lookout and failed to maintain her vehicle in a proper lane of travel.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury; and seek award for compensatory damages in an amount in excess of $25,000, award of prejudgment interest, costs of action, and such other relief as the court may deem necessary and proper. They are represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone Summer & Lauber in Clayton, Missouri.
