St. Louis driver accused of causing wreck

Car accident 38

ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing another motorist, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Abdiel Louis filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Spencer Tressler of St. Louis alleging that the motorist failed to exercise the highest degree of care while entering a public roadway.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 9, 2015 he was driving southbound on Hampton Avenue when his vehicle was allegedly struck by Tressler's vehicle. As a result, Louis claims he sustained physical injuries, became impaired and required medical care.

The plaintiff holds Tressler responsible because the defendant allegedly drove at a rate of speed that was high, excessive and dangerous under the circumstances; failed to keep and maintain a constant, careful, vigilant lookout; and failed to stop his vehicle to avoid collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for such sum to compensate for injuries, damages and losses in excess of $25,000 together with costs expended. He is represented by Randall S. Parker of Randall S. Parker in St. Louis and Zachary J. Borowiak of Zachary J. Borowiak in St. Louis.
