Twin City Fire Insurance allegedly failed to pay for child's injuries

Insurance 06

ST. LOUIS — A minor is suing Twin City Fire Insurance Company, citing alleged breach of insurance contract.

Keshaun Benion, a minor by and through his next friend Eddie Benion, filed a complaint on Nov. 10, in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Twin City Fire Insurance Company alleging that the licensed insurer failed to perform its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 25 Keshaun Benion was a passenger in a 2009 Toyota Corolla being driven by his father Eddie Benion when an unknown driver collided with the rear of their vehicle and then fled the scene. Keshaun Benion allegedly was injured due to the accident and was insured under the policy issued by the defendant.

The plaintiff holds Twin City Fire Insurance Company responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to settle the plaintiff's damages under the uninsured motorist coverage.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment against the defendant and for all other relief that the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Stephen Bransford, Attorney at Law in Kirkwood, and Jennifer J. Finley of The Law Offices of Jennifer J. Finley LLC in Kirkwood.
