Motorist whose car allegedly was rear-ended files suit

Car accident 44

ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another driver, citing alleged negligence.

Kostantia Fellhauer filed a complaint on Nov. 21 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Rebecca Huskey alleging that she breached her duty to exercise reasonable care in operating a motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 17, 2016, she was driving her motor vehicle in St. Louis when the defendant negligently caused her vehicle to crash into the rear of her car. She allegedly sustained injuries both internally and externally, resulting in physical and mental pain, lost earnings and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Huskey responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently operated a vehicle while distracted, failed to maintain careful lookout, and failed to reduce speed and/or stop.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs of this action and all other relief that the court may deem appropriate. She is represented by Gregory M. Tobin of Pratt & Tobin PC in East Alton.
