Injured passengers allege driver of other vehicle negligent

Car accident 32

ST. LOUIS — Two passengers are suing a motor vehicle driver, citing alleged negligence.

Randy Welch and Terrell Wallace filed a complaint on Nov. 21 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Brian Shelby alleging that he negligently violated a traffic signal device.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 9 they were passengers in a motor vehicle traveling east on Interstate 70 and exiting to go north onto Goodfellow Boulevard when the defendant carelessly operated his vehicle and collided with their vehicle. They allegedly sustained serious and permanent injuries to the neck, back, legs and other parts of their bodies; and have incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiffs hold Shelby responsible because he allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout and failed to exercise the highest degree of care under the circumstances.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury; and seek judgment in their favor in excess of $50,000 for each of them, plus interest, costs and any further relief that the court may deem just and proper. They are represented by Michelle E. Radice of Michelle E. Radice LLC in St. Louis.
