Woman alleges fellow motorist negligent in Kingshighway crash

Car accident 06

ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another driver citing alleged negligence.

Alterea Hall filed a complaint on Nov. 29 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Lee Michele Cagel alleging that she failed to exercise the highest degree of care in operating a motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 30, 2012 she was driving her 2004 Kia Amanti northbound on Kingshighway Boulevard in St. Louis when the defendant carelessly executed a left turn into her path and collided with her vehicle. As a result of the violent collision, she allegedly sustained serious and permanent injuries to her back, neck, arms, wrists and knees.

The plaintiff holds Cagel responsible because she allegedly failed to keep careful lookout, negligently made a left turn when it was unsafe to do so and failed to yield the right of way.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $25,000, plus interest, costs and all further relief as the court deems necessary. She is represented by Arthur C. Shivers of The Law Offices of Arthur Shivers LLC in St. Louis.
