ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing another motorist for allegedly striking her car in an intersection.
Katie M. Breier filed a complaint on Nov. 30 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Jessica L. Komrska alleging that the defendant operated her vehicle in a careless manner while crossing an intersection, causing a collision with another vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 1, 2016 she was driving westbound on Germania Street at the intersection of Tesson Street when Komrska's vehicle allegedly struck the front driver side of her vehicle. As a result, Breier claims she sustained physical injuries and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds Komrska responsible because she allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout, entered another motorist's lane of traffic when it was not reasonably safe to do, and failed to stop, slacken speed, swerve or sound a warning.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment in an amount in excess of $25,000, together with attorney's fees, court costs, interest, and for any further relief the court deems just and appropriate. She is represented by Craig M. Orthwerth of McChesney & Ortwerth, LLC in St. Louis and Martin Minnigerode of The Law Office of Martin Minnigerode, LLC in St. Louis.
