Driver, passenger claim motorist negligent for rear-ending their car

Car accident 07

ST. LOUIS — A driver and passenger are suing another motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Karla Jefferies and Keesha Baldwin filed a complaint on Nov. 27 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Evelyn Bowyer-White alleging that she failed to maintain her motor vehicle under proper control.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 6, they were in a motor vehicle stopped at a red light signal at Riverview Boulevard and McClaran Avenue when the defendant rear-ended their vehicle. They allegedly sustained bodily injuries resulting in pain, lost wages and other damages.

The plaintiffs hold Bowyer-White responsible because she allegedly failed to keep careful lookout, and failed to stop or swerve to avoid collision.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury; and seek judgment in their favor for damages greater than the jurisdictional limits of the court. They are represented by Gary K. Burger of Burger Law in St. Louis.
