Widower asks court to sign off on settlement in wife's death

ST. LOUIS — A widower is asking the court to approve a settlement reached with the drivers of two vehicles that allegedly hit and killed his wife. 

Justin McNeal, surviving spouse of Candi McNeal, filed a petition on Dec. 7 in the St. Louis Circuit Court asking that the court approve a $180,000 settlement agreement reached with David Quante, Levi Kramer and The Travelers Indemnity Co.

According to the petition, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 25, 2015, Candi McNeal died after she was struck by motor vehicles being driven by Quante and Kramer while she was crossing a street near 1543 McCausland Ave. 

The plaintiff requests that the court approve the settlement agreement. He is represented by J. Ryan Kelly and Justin M. Stephens of Stephens Kelly Law in St. Louis.
