Driver allegedly made careless left turn in St. Louis crash

Car accident 07

ST. LOUIS — A woman is suing a Catawissa driver, citing alleged negligence.

Ramona Fawwaqa filed a complaint on Dec. 8 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Robert Carmon alleging that he failed to operate his motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 8, 2016 she was driving her motor vehicle east  along Cass Avenue near its intersection with Jefferson Avenue when the defendant, who was coming from the opposite direction, carelessly made a left turn and struck her vehicle. She allegedly sustained serious and permanent injuries to her head, neck, cervical spine, torso and other parts of her body.

The plaintiff holds Carmon responsible because he allegedly failed to obey a  traffic signal, failed to maintain careful lookout and failed to yield the right of way.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages in excess of $25,000, costs of court, and all other relief as the court deems just and proper. She is represented by William K. Meehan of Meehan Law Firm in University City, Missouri.
