Motorist pulling out of parking lot accused of negligence

Car accident 06

ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another driver, citing alleged negligence in an accident on Goodfellow Boulevard.

Monique Goins filed a complaint on Dec. 4 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Maher Wardeh alleging that he breached his duty to operate his motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 15, 201, she was driving a motor vehicle traveling northbound on Goodfellow Boulevard when the defendant, who was exiting the parking lot of a restaurant, carelessly pulled in front of her vehicle and caused a collision.

The plaintiff holds Wardeh responsible because he allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout, failed to yield the right of way and negligently moved his vehicle onto Goodfellow Boulevard when it was unsafe to do so. Goins said she sustained severe and permanent injuries to her neck, right shoulder and right leg as a result of the accident.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages of more than $25,000, costs of this action, and all further relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Bryan S. Sanger of Mandel & Mandel LLP in St. Louis.
