ST. LOUIS — A Madison County driver is suing another motorist, citing alleged negligence.
Jane Reames filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Sarah Wheeler alleging that she negligently failed to attentively drive her motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, Reames alleges that on Feb. 10, 2016 she was driving westbound on Interstate 64 near Boyle Avenue when the defendant carelessly operated her vehicle and caused it to strike the rear of the plaintiff's vehicle. Reames claims she sustained serious injuries to her head, neck, back and other damages. The plaintiff holds Wheeler responsible because she allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout, and failed to stop, swerve or reduce speed to avoid a collision.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks a monetary award of more than $25,000, plus costs of this suit and any other relief that the court may deem appropriate. She is represented by Eric M. Terry and Tyler J. Schneider of TorHoerman Law LLC in Edwardsville.
